Yannick Ngakoue

Current Team: Jacksonville Jaguars
2016 Stats: 23 tackles/8.0 sacks/four forced fumbles/two defended passes/one interception
The Skinny: Davis had a very impressive rookie campaign, but Ngakoue may have been even more productive for the Jaguars. During his time in College Park, Ngakoue excelled at the rushing the quarterback and was one of the more talented Terps at the position in quite some time. The former Friendship Collegiate Academy (D.C.) standout registered one sack in eight different games for Jacksonville and ended up leading the Jaguars in that category.

Ngakoue has that killer speed off the edge and played at defensive end quite a bit in 2016. Currently, Ngakoue finds himself sitting behind Dante Fowler Jr. because of the fact that the Jaguars signed Calais Campbell in the offseason. However, Fowler was recently arrested for simple battery, so Ngakoue could leapfrog Fowler depending on how the coaching staff is handling the situation. Ngakoue showed as a rookie that he can excel in this defense. After all, he started 15 games and that wasn’t by accident.
