No. 4 Men’s Lacrosse

The Maryland men’s lacrosse team was supposed to have a down year in 2015. However, it was quite the contrary. The Terps lost a supreme amount of talent from their 2014 group, including star attackman Connor Cannizzaro to transfer. Maryland used a balanced scoring attack consisting of key players like Matt Rambo, Joe LoCascio, and Henry West. This group led the Terps to the Final Four and ultimately an appearance in the national title game where they lost to a potent Denver team.

While lacrosse is often considered a niche sport, Maryland fans should be thankful to have such a talented team that competes for a national title year in and year out. Coach John Tillman does a remarkable job with the program and recruits like few other coaches can. With another stellar recruiting class set to ascend on College Park, Maryland should be a Final Four contender once again in 2016.
