If you are like me, you are missing football right now. Well, I am here to give some football news that might get Maryland fans excited. The Maryland spring game has been announced and it will be here before we know it.

The annual Red-White spring game is set for April 27 at noon at SECU Stadium. Admission to the game is free to all fans and the game will air live on BigTen+.

The spring game is a great opportunity for fans to see players on the field before the season starts in the fall. This is also a great time for coaches to start to build their depth chart and see which guys could be in line for starting positions.

Head coach Michael Locksley will see changes this season, especially under center with quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa being denied one more year of eligibility, forcing him to declare for the draft. This will be Locklsey first look since the end of the season at his team and what he will have to work with come fall.

Spring practices will start March 26 and the Terrapins will hold 15 scheduled practices before the spring game in April. This could be a good season for the Terrapins as they are coming off back-to-back eight-win seasons. Maryland ended their 2023 season with a win over Auburn in the Transperfect Music City Bowl.

The Terrapins are set to open the season at home against UConn in 2024. Key home games for Maryland in 2024 include Michigan State, UCS, and Iowa.
