Maryland Men’s Lacrosse: 2022 Schedule Released

Maryland Men’s Lacrosse is back for the 2022 season. The terrapins are again projected to be among the nation’s best squads. The Terps also have the schedule to match the accolades, as Maryland Lacrosse will face six teams that made the 2021 NCAA tournament, which includes a date in March with national champion Virginia.

The 2021 Maryland Men’s lacrosse team came within one goal of not only having an undefeated season but also winning the program’s second national championship in four seasons. Unfortunately, the Terrapins came up just short of that goal against Virginia in the national championship game. In 2022 they look to rebound and win a national title, as they are still loaded and ready to go.

Maryland returns the bulk of its roster that finished 15-1, won both the Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships, and finished National Runner Up in 2021, led by All-American attackman Logan Wisnauskas and All-American defenseman Brett Makar.

“Maryland Head Coach John Tillman has had Maryland rolling like a well-oiled machine for a little over a decade now and there aren’t many programs that can say they have had as much success on a consistent basis as the Terrapins.”

The Terps will not only face Virginia this season but will travel to upstate New York to face a familiar foe in former ACC rival Syracuse. Maryland Men’s Lacrosse hasn’t played the Orangemen in a regular-season game since 2014.

The Terp’s have the makings to not only win another Big 10 conference title but have the talent and depth to again challenge for a national championship.
