Homecoming for Brendan Moore

It’s rare that Maryland has dipped into Texas on the recruiting trail.

However, the Terps grabbed center Brendan Moore back during the Randy Edsall era.

It was definitely an underrated move as Moore was just a three-star center during his high school days. Just a few years later, he’s on the preseason watch list for the Rimington Award, which is annually given to the top center in college football.

Moore gets a chance to play in his home state for the first time in his collegiate career. In fact, the Maryland center hails from Austin, so it’s likely that he’ll have a host of family and friends in the stands to watch him play.

Even more so for players that attend college far away from their hometowns, it’s always a very cool sight to see them get to return home and showcase their skills. Hopefully Moore can help establish the running game early on and lead the Terps to an upset victory.
