Cinderella: No. 7 Iowa

The Iowa Hawkeyes have been a streaky team all season long. They began the season with a record of 3-5, and then went on to win eight of their next 10 games. The Hawkeyes closed out the season with four straight wins. Two of these wins came on the road at Wisconsin and the other at Maryland.

This Hawkeyes team this year is comprised of mainly underclassmen and all-around star senior guard Peter Jok. Jok was voted to the Big Ten First Team. In the most recent victory that Iowa had over Maryland, the Hawkeyes as a team shot 16-of-26 from deep.

Both freshmen Jordan Bohannon and Tyler Cook were named to the All-Freshman Big Ten team. Sophomore Nicholas Baer was named the conference’s sixth man of the year. If Iowa can remain hot from deep and have Jok stay healthy and playing well, the Hawkeyes could potentially upset the Badgers in the Big Ten Tournament and sneak into the NCAA Tournament field.
