No matter which quarterback plays on Saturday, they’ll have a supreme talent on the outside to throw to.

Sophomore wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith is an incredible talent with a large skillset.

Smith is coming off a freshman season in which he was the AAC Rookie of the Year. He caught 52 passes for 724 yards and four touchdowns, which were all team highs.

He finished the season in the top 10 in both receptions and receiving yards.

Smith has a very large frame, which gives his quarterback a wide radius to place the football in. He possesses phenomenal leaping ability and a great set of hands.

He has a knack for being a top red zone target due to his size.

Central Florida targeted Smith on deep patterns several times against Michigan last week. However, he failed to record to catch after grabbing four passes for 63 yards in the first game against South Carolina State.

It’ll be interesting to see how Maryland defends Smith. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if J.C. Jackson lined up across from Smith for a large chunk of Saturday’s game.
