Maryland handily defeated Florida International last Friday to move to 2-0 and will travel to the Sunshine State once again for a battle with Central Florida.

This will mark the first time that the two teams have met on the gridiron.

The Knights are coming off a 51-14 loss at the hands of Michigan last Saturday. The Wolverines jumped out to a 31-0 lead in the second quarter before Central Florida put any points on the board.

One of the biggest downfalls for Central Florida was their inability to move the ball through the air. The Knights only completed 6-of-22 passes for a mere 56 yards.

Central Florida did have a tremendous amount of success on the ground as they totaled 275 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Penalties and turnovers also doomed the Knights. They lost a pair of fumbles and committed nine penalties throughout the game.

Despite the loss, there’s plenty of star power on both sides of the football when it comes to Central Florida.

We’ll take a look at five players that could cause problems for Maryland this Saturday.
