Maryland will hit the road for the first time this season as they will face Florida International on Friday evening. Below is all the information you’ll need to know in order to watch the game plus a preview of the action.

The Terrapins are fresh off a resounding victory over Howard in the season opener.

The D.J. Durkin era got started with Maryland showing off their up-tempo offense. The Terps rushed for 315 yards on the ground with true freshmen Jake Funk and Lorenzo Harrison having a great of success.

Maryland saw strong quarterback play from Perry Hills, who basically played the first half against Howard. Hills completed 14-of-19 passes for 126 yards, but didn’t find the end zone.

However, the biggest positive was that Hills and the Terps didn’t turn the ball over at all. True freshman Tyrrell Pigrome also saw some action as he completed 4-of-6 passes and rushed for a touchdown in the second half.

Maryland also received a strong performance from their defense. Defensive end Melvin Keihn was one of the most impressive players on the field as he was consistently making his way in the Howard backfield.

The Terps will look to get off to another fast start against the Golden Panthers. Maryland certainly has the star power on defense to make life extremely difficult for quarterback Alex McGough.

If Maryland can run the ball effectively once again, it could be an easy path to victory.
