No. 5 Wide receiver

Aside from the offensive line, wide receiver is where Maryland has the most depth. The only wideout that is gone from a season ago is Amba Etta-Tawo (transferred to Syracuse). It’s pretty clear that Levern Jacobs and D.J. Moore will start, but who exactly will be the Terps third option?

Luckily for Maryland, they’ll have plenty to choose from. The likely candidate is New Mexico State transfer Teldrick Morgan. Morgan caught 119 passes for 1,446 yards and 11 touchdowns over the past two seasons with the Aggies. The 6’0 wideout has a ton of speed and could be a perfect fit in the slot at Maryland.

Morgan will have to battle it out with Malcolm Culmer, Tino Ellis, and Taivon Jacobs for playing time. Out of that group, Ellis is definitely the one to keep an eye on. The true freshman is a four-star recruit that had a decorated career at DeMatha (Md.). Ellis could force his way into playing time based on potential alone.
