Richmond

When: Late Nov.
Where: Barclays Center (Barclays Center Classic, Brooklyn)
The Skinny: The Spiders were about as inconsistent a team as you could’ve found during the 2015-16 campaign. Richmond finished with a 16-16 mark, which a 7-11 record in Atlantic 10 play. This is a team that does return two of their top three scorers from a season ago. Forward T.J. Cline does it all for the Spiders as he averaged 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists last season. Cline has a knack for finishing at the rim while also shooting a respectable 37 percent from beyond the arc.

Guard ShawnDre’ Jones can drain jump shots from the perimeter if given even an inch of room. The Texas native shot 39.5 percent from beyond the arc and was a human highlight reel at times for the Spiders. Jones can also pass the rock at a very productive rate as he averaged 3.6 per game (second on the team to Cline). Watching the undersized Jones go head-to-head with Trimble could be a very interesting matchup.
