The Maryland basketball team is going Hollywood.

Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens taped an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, Brantley and Nickens made their way to Burbank, Calif. to discuss the exploding popularity of their “Running Man Challenge” videos.

Both players have posted several videos set to the 1990s hit “My Boo.” In case you haven’t seen the culture phenomenon, check out the video below.

Brantley and Nickens will be featured in an episode that will air on Tuesday afternoon. The episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show can be seen on WRC-4 (NBC- Washington) at 3 p.m. and on WBAL-11 (NBC-Baltimore) at 4 p.m.

The duo left on Sunday morning en route to California to film the episode of the acclaimed talk show.

Brantley and Nickens began posting the videos about a month ago and even challenged anybody else to join in on the fun. Both have always been very active on Instagram, so it’s no surprise to see them at the center of this challenge.

Several other college basketball teams got in with the action with replies to the Terp duo’s videos. Players from Miami (Fla.), Villanova, and Virginia Tech made replies of their own.

Ironically, former Maryland guard Seth Allen appeared in the Virginia Tech response.

It’s mind-boggling to think that this phenomenon started in College Park by a pair of Maryland basketball players just trying to have some fun. Their hijinks were made famous by the Internet, but even more people around the world will see Brantley, Nickens, and the rest of the Maryland basketball team in action.

Maryland fans, make sure you have your DVRs set for Tuesday afternoon if you want to catch what promises to be a hilarious segment.
