Favorite to make the final from the bottom of the bracket: No. 2 Michigan State

As much as it may pain Maryland fans to admit it, Michigan State is the favorite to make the final from the bottom half of the bracket. The Spartans started off conference play slow with an injury to their senior leader Denzel Valentine. Once the Spartans got Valentine back healthy in the rotation and rhythm of the offense, they played like a team poised for another trip back to the Final Four.

Michigan State are winners of 10 of their last 11 games with the one defeat came in overtime at Purdue by a mere point. Besides Indiana, Michigan State is playing their best basketball when it matters most — heading into March Madness.
