Favorite to make the final from the top of the bracket: No. 1 Indiana

The regular season champion Indiana Hoosiers compiled a record of 15-3 in conference play, and like the Terrapins accomplished last year in conference play, the Hoosiers finished undefeated at home. After getting blown out at Duke by 20 points on Dec. 2 and finishing 1-2 at the Maui Invitational with losses to UNLV and Wake Forest, no one thought coach Tom Crean’s team was going to be making headlines in March. After watching Maryland struggle to keep up with Indiana in the season finale, I believe that Hoosiers will be in the final and are the favorites in the top half. Senior guard Yogi Ferrell is the Dez Wells character for this Indiana team. He is the leader, and heart and soul of Indiana basketball.
