The Big Ten is arguably one of the deepest conferences in college basketball. Potentially eight out of the 14 teams in the conference could make it to the NCAA Tournament this year, which sets up an exciting Big Ten Tournament starting on Wednesday.

Indiana has surprised a lot of people as they took the regular season crown as Big Ten champions. Teams like Maryland, Michigan State, and Purdue have also played very well at times.

It’s going to be a very competitive tournament with teams at the bottom still capable of pulling off an upset or two. While records may not show it, teams like Illinois and Minnesota are very scrappy and could win multiple games in Indianapolis.

Then you have teams like Michigan and Ohio State, who still have work to do if they want to feel a little more comfortable on Selection Sunday.

Let’s take a deeper look at the field.
