This may not be one of the games that most Maryland fans are looking forward to.

However, it’s going to be one of great importance for a pair of teams that are in similar situations. The Terps were able to knock off the Hawkeyes 38-31 in College Park thanks to a fourth quarter pick six from cornerback Will Likely and a rushing touchdown from running back Wes Brown. Both teams finished with 7-6 records and decent bowl game appearances.

The Hawkeyes will be looking for revenge this year. On the other hand, with a tough conference slate on the docket, this is a game that Maryland needs to have if they want to go bowling for a third consecutive season under coach Randy Edsall.
