Vernon Davis appears on Family Feud
By Chris Bengel
Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Family Feud had a Maryland flavor to it.
Former Terp Vernon Davis appeared on the show and provided some interesting answers.
The former Maryland tight end was part of a five-man team of NFC players that took on an AFC group. The NFC group consisted of Calais Campbell (Arizona Cardinals), Thomas Davis (Carolina Panthers), Matt Forte (Chicago Bears), Eddie Lacy (Green Bay Packers), and Davis. The AFC group was made up of Antonio Brown (Pittsburgh Steelers), Antonio Gates (San Diego Chargers), Nick Mangold (New York Jets), Terrell Suggs (Baltimore Ravens), and DeMarcus Ware (Denver Broncos).
Davis’ team didn’t ended up getting to play in the Fast Money round as the AFC team answered the bell. However, the former Terp provided some interesting answers.

The San Francisco 49ers tight end obviously didn’t help his team very much in either round of the show. Regardless, Davis easily provided the most entertainment for this installment of the very popular game show.
Davis has had a very successful career in the NFL, so it wasn’t a huge surprise to see him elected to participate in Family Feud. During his nine-year career, the Washington D.C. native has recorded 423 catches for 5,446 yards and caught 55 touchdown passes. However, the former Terp is coming off his worst season as a professional, which was 26 catches for 245 yards and only two touchdowns.
Now it was on a 49ers team that struggled due to injuries to their defensive front. Now Davis will get some help on the offensive side of the ball as former Terp Torrey Smith left the Ravens and signed with the 49ers in the offseason.
Hopefully this isn’t the most entertainment that we get out of No. 85 during this calendar year.
