Melo Trimble invited to SC30 Select Camp
By Chris Bengel
The whirlwind year continues for Maryland guard Melo Trimble.
Trimble has been invited to be a counselor at Stephen Curry’s S30 Select Camp. The Maryland guard received the invite via YouTube from Curry himself.
In the video, Curry mentioned Trimble’s stellar freshman and added that “you and the Terps are definitely heading toward some great things, looking forward to watch y’all develop.”
At the camp, Trimble will get the chance to work out with the new NBA MVP and help teach 20 of the top high school guards. The group will consist of 10 point guards and 10 shooting guards from the high school ranks.
Trimble will serve as a camp counselor along with Notre Dame guard Demetrius Jackson, Northwestern guard Bryant McIntosh, and Seton Hall guard Isaiah Whitehead. The Under Armour-sponsored camp is in its second year and doesn’t currently have a date set.

Among the high school players that were invited by Curry were Maryland targets Trevon Duval (St. Benedict’s), Markelle Fultz (DeMatha), and Josh Jackson (Prolific Prep).
The camp’s main purpose is to give high school players training from some of the best basketball players in the world.
What better player for Trimble and these highly-touted high school recruits to learn from than the guy who just won the MVP of the NBA.
Trimble is coming off a season in which he averaged 16.2 points-per-game, 3.9 rebounds-per-game, and 3.02 assists-per-game. The freshman made the All-Big Ten First Team (as chosen by the media) and also appeared on the All-Freshman Team.
