Last Week: 52-14 win over Appalachian State

The Wolverines got a chance to avenge their disastrous 2007 loss to App State last week as they blew out the Mountaineers at home. Devin Gardner only threw one incompletion and three touchdowns, while Devin Funchess looked unstoppable with his three touchdown catches. The pair looks to have great chemistry and should pose problems to every team they play. The vaunted defensive secondary also looked as advertised as App State was only able to average 3.8 yards per completion.

Next week they’ve got traditional rival Notre Dame, a game which should give us a much better idea of who this team really is, and whether or not their QB is capable of sustained success against a good opponent.

Next Week: at #16 Notre Dame, 7:30 PM on NBC
