For any other school, losing corner Bradley Roby and safeties Christian Bryant, Corey Brown and C.J. Barnett would ensure a pretty terrible season coming up for your secondary, seeing as how those four combined for 192 tackles (24.4% of the teams total tackles) and 9 pickles. For Ohio State and Urban Meyer, that’s par for the course; they replace their five-star departures with five-stars and back them up with more five-stars.

Doran Grant is a great cover corner and a senior leader who racked up 50.5 tackles last season, and Vonn Bell is a freakish athlete who should be one of the team’s better tacklers. Armani Reeves spent some time backing up Roby last season, and may provide some degree of enthusiasm. But outside of that? It’s basically just guessing about potential talent panning that that has them this high.
