There’s no depth with this unit but there’s plenty of potential. Strong safety Lorenzo Waters bring senior leadership and 62 tackles from last season, and Nadir Barnwell is one of the most talented players in the Big Ten (he was a quarterback in high school..and a corner…and runs a 4.4 40-yard dash…and has great size). Jonathan Aiken may be a senior, but he’s got three career starts under his belt despite a decent amount of talent.

Realistically, this group could be ranked a little lower given then massive amount of inexperience, but they really do have a lot of talent. Now they’ve got the opportunity to showcase it in their inaugural Big Ten season.
