They lose Big Ten first teamer in safety Brock Vereen, Martez Shabazz, and Jeremy Baltazar while only bringing back three starters. The main problem with this unit is that there’s no experience whatsoever in the group.

Antonio Johnson and Cedric Thompson comprise of the two safety spots, and they bring back 148 tackles between the two of them. The corner positions are filled with talent, however. Eric Murray broke up ten passes in 2013, and Derrick Wells is a great tackler (and former safety) who should bolster an underrated unit.
