This group actually shows quite a bit of potential, but their stats from last year are inflated because their offense was so effective last season they were on the field quite a bit. Senior Tim Bennett, a JuCo transfer, is back after he tore it up last season and ranked first in the nation in passes deflected at 20 along with 73 tackles.

They’ve also got JR Michael Hunter returning as well, and those two alone make this a solid group which should improve from being 105th in the nation last season. But they lose Greg Heban, the team’s third leading tackler, but they return 8 of 10 from last season and this group should improve substantially. Still, that doesn’t make them better than other groups in the B1G.
