There was speculation that Maryland basketball would be debuting a new uniform for their game against Notre Dame on Wednesday night at Comcast, and now we’ve got visuals to go along with that. Per @UMTerps Twitter account:

The jerseys definitely look nice, and it’s evident that the words between the numbers are representative of milestones that have been accomplished throughout Maryland history. There’s a 2002 which alludes to the National Championship year, a 1932 Conference Championship team, and even the 1980 Sweet 16 team gets props.
It’s a nice touch, and goes along with Maryland’s recent attempts to pay homage to their storied history as they bridge the gap between past and present. My favorite part about the entire outfit have to be the shoes. I’m bullish on Under Armor shoes, but those things look incredible. I’d replace my tired Hyperdunks with those at a moment’s notice.

Maryland takes on Notre Dame at 7 pm tomorrow night at Comcast hoping to put an end to the blowout losses and their two game losing streak in conference play. Going up against a Notre Dame team that is struggling just as much, in front of a white out crowd no less, might just be the answer they’d been looking for all along.
Go Terps!
