With how Maryland football is currently struggling, Mike, Chris, and Art switched focus to the hardwood. Last Friday marked the unofficial start of the Maryland basketball season with Maryland Madness. We shared some thoughts on the event, the crowd, and atmosphere at Cole Field House. November 8 is closer then many might believe, and that is Maryland’s first game of the season against the University of Connecticut. We’ll have more on that game next week, but we discussed some of the early aspects of that game. This Saturday at 1:00pm at Comcast Center, Maryland’s basketball team will be hosting an open scrimmage for fans. It is during prime tailgate time, but for anyone in the area these are fun events to attend and learn about the team before their exhibition game November 3rd against Catholic and the earlier mentioned game against UConn. Unfortunately at the beginning of the podcast we had to address the news about Dalonte Hill that came out today. Without many details of the situation released, we discussed the implications of this event on Maryland’s basketball program long term.
