  • Maryland has a bit of competition heading into training camp, specifically at the safety position and backup to QB1. According to Edsall, no one distinguished themselves from the pack even though CJ Brown was given the day off last practice. It’s probably going to end up being Ricardo Young, but according to Alex Prewitt, it’s Rowe who might earn the job.
  • Speaking of the Post, Mitch Rubin, LaVar Arrington, Mike Wise and Dan Steinberg go all in on the Terps, and speak about their future viability as a draw in DC. I’m not sure many of them watch too much Maryland football (except for Mike Wise), but they do interview Alex Prewitt at the end — who definitely does watch too much Maryland.
  • Pete Volk over at TestudoTimes does some great work, and one of them was this interview with CJ Brown after last Thursday’s practice. The formerly injured quarterback sounds just as confident as ever, and ready to go all out this year after having missed so much time. All that time off can help a quarterback better understand the game, so let’s hope that’s the case.
  • Over at CSNWashington, Steve Roney talks about the indelible bond between Diggs, Long, and Ricardo Young. Talk about guys who have some major chemistry. I don’t know what that says about Ricardo Young, but it CJ Brown ever has a bad game, you have to imagine Ricardo is chomping at the bit to get in there.
