Terrapin Takes, Tuesday 6/2: ACC Lawsuit, Big Ten Buzz

  • I read sports articles for two reasons: to get insight on my favorite teams and/or to read the comments section. If you can’t provide one or the other, I have a hard time getting through it. The comments section whenever a Maryland article is written in a Big Ten or an ACC blog on ESPN, though, devolves into a WoW troll warfare campaign the second it gets posted. It takes away from the article itself, which concerns something about Maryland generating buzz heading into 2014. I think.
  • And yet here I go again with another ESPN article which speaks on the ACC v. Maryland lawsuit over the payment of that exit fee. While it’s still in limbo, it appears the ACC has won the first of many battles, even if it’s one that’s rather small. There’s still a lot of stuff that has to play out, so I’d take this with a grain of salt.
  • The Terps made the USA Today because of their messy breakup with the ACC, strictly because of the ACC’s treatment of mascot Testudo. Whatever, we’re out of there soon enough. (Chris Chase)
  • FHFAN of TestudoTimes always covers the non-revenues, and now he’s making the rounds on the Spring Season from last year. As usual, it’s worth a read so you can get a better understanding of all the Terps sports. Boost your knowledge base now, so when we move to the Big Ten, you can defend the Terps against those angry fans.
