- Heather Dinich of ESPN.com typically likes the Terrapins, but in her weekly ACC power rankings, she gave Maryland absolutely no love. I can’t really blame her, but I probably will anyway.
- Four-Star outside linebacker Yannick Ngakoue, one of the gems of the Mike-Locksley recruiting era, has decided to decommit from the Terrapins and open up his recruiting. The writing is on the wall on this one…. (Ben Broman of Testudo Times)
- Former Terrapin wide receiver Torrey Smith lost his younger brother early Sunday morning, and Randy Edsall offered out his condolences to the Smith family. Have to feel for a guy who has been nothing but the embodiment of what you’d want out of an alumni and person. (WaPo)
- Also from Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post, a little look at what the Terrapins have planned on their bye week, and some Kenny Tate playing time news. I’m ecstatic about having him get even more healthy on a bye and coming back even stronger against Wake.
- In some basketball related news, David Kay of TheSportsBank.net has a good sneak preview of the upcoming Maryland season. He takes a very realistic approach to what will, more than likely, be an up-and-down year with plenty of promise.
- T.J Doyle has some updated information on the Harrison twins recruiting news, including a refutation of reports that there is a rift within the family about whether to attend Maryland or Kentucky. It’s good news, but it also goes to show you just how close and intense this recruiting battle really is.
- And finally, the No. 1 ranked Terrapins men’s soccer team takes on Georgia State tonight, so if you have a subscription to UMTerps TV, I’d suggest tuning in because these cats are absolutely killing it.
