Senior Forward Casey Townsend Named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

All-ACC forward Casey Townsend was named to the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy Watch list Monday. Announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), the Hermann Trophy is college soccer’s highest individual award, essentially the sport’s Heisman Trophy.

Townsend was nominated after a stellar junior campaign, where he garnered First team All-ACC honors along with helping lead the Terps to an ACC championship. The senior from Traverse City, Mich. tallied nine goals to go along with five assists.
