According to the Dallas Morning News, University of Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson could be interviewing at the University of Texas for the very same position.

West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck is the current favorite to get the job, but Anderson and Arizona State athletic director Steve Patterson are in the running.

Anderson was hired by Maryland in 2010 and currently makes $400K. His current contract goes to 2015.

Anderson is responsible for several of the recent changes in College Park. The former Army athletic director was the big orchestrater behind the Terrapins move to the B1G. He also hired Randy Edsall and Mark Turgeon to replace the likes of Ralph Friedgen and Gary Williams. Both new coaches came under fire as many people disliked the choices and thought there were more deserving candidates.

Certainly, many wouldn’t mind if Anderson left for the University of Texas. Along with Edsall, Anderson too has come under fire due to the football team’s lack of success during the first three years of Edsall’s coaching tenure.
