The top-ranked Terps kept rolling after dismantling No. 20 Boston College 20-9 Sunday afternoon on the road. Maryland has now won 18 straight dating back to last season.
Karri Ellen Johnson led the attack for Maryland (8-0, 3-0 ACC) with five goals, followed by Kristy Black with four and Laura Merrifield with three. Senior Sarah Mollison dished out five assists.
The Terrapins started off fast, scoring seven of the game’s first nine goals and taking a 10-3 lead at the half. When BC (7-2) ripped off three goals within a span of one minute in the opening minutes of the second half, the Lady Terps went on a five goal run that secured the win.
Maryland stays on the road to take on Stony Brook Tuesday Mar. 22, at 4 pm.
