At TerrapinStationMD we’re always looking to provide the best fan experience possible, and that means adapting to other modes of communication as they come. With that slight introduction, we bring to you the TerrapinStationMD.com YouTube channel, something that’s been in the works for awhile and which we’re proud to say is up and running.
The gist of it is that we acknowledge the growing demographic which has a preference towards digital content, and that includes consuming a fair share of their sports content via YouTube. Despite launching eight years ago, YouTube is being embraced more and more as a source for credible news reports from both major outlets and third-parties. At TerrapinStation we have the flexibility to offer you both the long-winded articles on the site, and the shorter three-to-five minute clips that some readers and/or viewers want to consume more of. Podcasts are great, but there’s a marketplace for something a bit shorter which can help cover even more sport that we don’t write about as extensively.
We don’t have a set schedule for these videos and this is very much a trial run that we’re going to need feedback from you all to really get an idea on how they’re faring. Typically, look for them this season the Friday before game day (football), a quick blitz recap of the game on Monday morning, and a potential midweek rundown (we’re trying to be ambitious here). We plan on uploading all our Podcasts here as well, so your best bet is to subscribe to the channel to get your full dose of Terps media.
We’re really excited about the possibilities here when it comes to engagement with you all, the fans, that we write for. As always, we appreciate any and all criticism (try to keep it clean, though). The possibilities with this can go pretty far, and everyone on staff is looking forward to pushing forward with the video medium. Give us under 5 minutes of your time, and we’ll fill your day with Terp.
