It’s no secret that the Maryland Terrapins football team have been one of the biggest risers on the recruiting scene in month of July. With 14 recruits committed to the school since May 23rd, Maryland has launched themselves into the Top 25 by most accounts, and they’re now ranked fifth overall in the Big Ten. The good news is that they’re not even done yet, and even though 14 in so little time may seem like a lot, there are still some guys left that need getting. And that’s just football.
On the basketball front, Maryland is looking less and less likely to make another splash in the 2015 class via a transfer this offseason (who would be required to sit out a year). They just lost out on Terry Henderson of West Virginia to North Carolina State, so Debbie Yow wins and Maryland is forced to look for another option. For the 2015 class, they’ve got guards like Justin Robinson (who just visited the school) and Kevin Dorsey on their radar, with wings like Esa Ahmad and Danjel Purifoy emerging as viable targets.
