Win-Win For Terps Fans In Mary Kline Classic

As if the Capital Classic wasn’t enough, Terps fans will have another opportunity to check out 80 percent of Maryland’s 2014 recruiting class.

Romelo Trimble, Dion Wiley, Jared Nickens, and Trayvon Reed will all participate in the annual Mary Kline Classic at West Orange High School in New Jersey on May 31. The annual event raises money for cancer research and was started by Alex Kline (@TheRecruitScoop) in honor of his late mother, Mary. The four future Terps will play in the senior game against players like Isaiah Whitehead (Seton Hall), Karl Towns (Kentucky), and Ben Bentil (Providence).

Four fifths of Maryland’s 2014 recruiting class will play on Team Perseverance with the likes of Baltimore native Dwayne Morgan (UNLV) and Ja’Quan Newton (Miami). An interesting storyline is the fact that Reed will be going head-to-head with Kentucky commit Karl Towns. Towns is one of the top players in the entire 2014 class.

Trimble, Wiley, and Nickens will all be participating in the three-point shooting competition as well.
