Terrapin Takes, Tuesday 7/30: Wes Brown, Running Backs, AJ Francis

  • It’s almost football season, so everyone and their mother is going to be doing some positional previews for their sites. Why would we miss out on the fun. In the first part of our series, I took a look at the running backs: Wes Brown, Albert Reid, and Brandon Ross. Don’t take it as an endorsement by the site for one back or the other, I’m just taking a look at what they do and don’t do well.
  • Speaking of running backs, Wes Brown is about to walk on those charges, y’all! Yesterday it was announced that the prosecution decided to drop all the charges against Brown stemming from an incident at Maryland on July 4th of this year. It remains to be seen whether Brown will be in tons of trouble with both the school and the police concerning his car being linked to the shooting, but it’s a start. (Washington Post)
  • For the betting folks, TestudoTimes ran down the recent odds for Maryland to win the ACC. They’re obviously not too good, but would you expect anything less? It is interesting how much better odds they give a couple teams. But that’s life as a Terps fan, right?
  • Want to find out how AJ Francis is doing? Well, it isn’t much, but the Sun-Sentinel.com has a little, tiny, tiny blurb letting us know that Mr. Francis is doing pretty well. The good news is that you can probably just ask him on Twitter how things are going, because he’s an accessible man.
