- Continuing on with our trend of analysts predicting that Maryland will finally go bowling once again, Paul Myerberg of USAToday gives perhaps the most comprehensive write-up of the Terps among all the pre-season write ups. Best part about the entire thing? He’s got a pretty peachy outlook on where the Terps are headed, especially at quarterback and on defense. It’s your must-read for the day.
- Inspector Padgett was one of the most underrated Terps on last year’s team. His plus/minus and defensive ratings pummeled most other players on the team, and to be honest we’re going to miss his leadership next year. Sure, many thought of him as the leftovers of Lance Stephenson, but Padgett grew into a very admirable man on the court. He went from potentially off the roster to an ACC starter on a lot of teams. That’s commendable. TestudoTimes gives us his best game as a Terp.
- Aside from having the coolest tattoo on the planet, Jalen Tabor outswags most of us tenfold. He also really likes the Terps and Florida. In a little stand up interview, he went over his main reasons for having those two ranked so highly for him. I’ll give you a hint: it’s the Under Armor angle that is helping Maryland stay on board.
- PennLive has been one of the better Big Ten websites about keeping tabs on Maryland and Rutgers coming into the Nittany Lion’s conference. Dustin Hockensmith did a little analysis on how the recruiting scene has changed so far with those two coming to the B1G, but he also had some very interesting tidbits about Maryland’s style of play v. that of the B1G, so for that go ahead and read it.
Happy Fourth of July Weekend everyone!
