Just a quick recruiting note to drop for everyone…Saeed Blacknall, a four-star WR out of Englishtown, NJ, will reportedly visit the University of Maryland this weekend. Blacknall was offered a scholarship by the Terrapins on January 25th to add onto his growing offer list which also includes national powers such as Ohio State, Florida State, Wisconsin, Clemson, Nebraska and LSU.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings , which give us the closest look at the “industry average” of all the recruiting services rankings which fill the Internet, Blacknall is the 19th best WR prospect in the class of 2014. The 6’3 198 lb WR from Manalapan High School was selected as a second team All-American by MaxPreps as well as a first team All-Shore selection after a junior season where Blacknall brought in 40 receptions for 473 yards and 11 touchdowns. Blacknall is also considered to be a consensus top 10 prospect out of the, normally talent rich, state of New Jersey in the class of 2014.
Through a quick google search I was able to find a highlight tape of the wideout which I have included below for you all to review. From a glimpse of Blacknall’s it looks like he has the potential to be a major player on the outside for whichever college football program he decides to join at the conculsion of his high school career.
