Who doesn’t love some Monday night Terps basketball recruiting news?!?!? Maryland Terrapins 2014 basketball target Dwayne Morgan took to his Twitter account Monday night to set the date when he will make his college decision public.

Morgan is considered the top prospect in the state of Maryland in the class of 2014 as well as one of the top 10 small forwards in his class by the major recruiting services as noted by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Terrapins have positioned themselves well for the in-state standout but will have to hold off some serious competition in UNLV and Indiana, both of whom are considered to also be in the top group for Morgan. It is worth noting that Arizona got involved with an offer to Morgan recently as well.

According to the timeline on Morgan’s profile, linked above, Morgan’s last visit was the official he took to UNLV on February 9th, but we know Morgan was at the Terps win over the Duke Blue Devils at Comcast Center a week later on February 16th. Terrapins assistant Bino Ranson is listed as the recruiter of record for Morgan but, as we have seen throughout the high school season, Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon has been burning up the recruiting trail being seen in many a high school gym.

Per Morgan’s AAU coach Dwayne Wise, Morgan and his family will narrow his list down to three schools in the next week and will announce his decision at a press conference during a ceremony at his high school, St. Frances (Baltimore, MD) on April 5th. As it stands the Terps, UNLV, Indiana, Arizona, Georgetown, South Florida and Seton Hall are the schools Morgan is down to. He has visited all of these schools except for Indiana and Arizona. Morgan is expected to be at the Terps game against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday night and may take an official to Arizona after his St. Frances team finishes up at the famed Alhambra Tournament. Let the 32 days of rampant speculation until “Decision Day: Dwayne Morgan Edition” begin!
