The highly coveted Harrison twins out of Houston, Texas have set their in-home visit schedule for each of their five finalists according to Reggie Rankin of ESPN and reported by Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.
It has been widely speculated that the Maryland Terrapins and the Kentucky Wildcats have separated themselves from the rest of the pack including SMU, Baylor and Villanova. The Harrison’s will host the coaches of these five schools Sunday, Monday and Wednesday of this week.
This represents the next step in the highly publicized recruitment of the consensus top five rated guard combination. Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon has already established quite a rapport with the Harrison family as he actively recruited the pair while he was still coaching at Texas A&M. A successful in-home visit by Turgeon and his staff could go a long way in securing the commitments that all Maryland fans are hoping for come October 29th, the date that has been chosen as the twins decision day.
As I reported earlier this week, Andy Katz of ESPN has indicated that sources close to him have the Harrison twins attending Midnight Madness at the University of Maryland on October 12th. While the recruiting game is ever changing and Turgeon and the Terps are going head to head with one of the games best in John Calipari there is reason to be confident in Maryland’s ability to add the twins to the fold. We did just beat the Big Blue Nation for Dez Wells last time I checked.
