Andrew and Aaron Harrison have finally set a date for when they will make their college decision known. According to Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog the pair of top five recruits in the class of 2013 will make their decision public on October 29th. One day after the twins 18th birthday.
The top five for the Harrison’s consist on Maryland, Kentucky, Baylor, Villanova and SMU. The twins have gone on record saying that the Terps, Wildcats and Bears are in contact with them the most. With many people “in the know” of the belief that this is a two school race between Maryland and Kentucky, we now will look towards when they will set official visit dates.
There are many factors that will help the Terps as we head into the stretch run of the Harrison’s recruitment. The fact that Mark Turgeon has a relationship with the twins and their family dating back to his time at Texas A&M certainly doesn’t hurt our chances. The Harrison’s having family close by in Baltimore, MD is another factor that I am sure will weigh heavily in their decision.
Everyone who follows Maryland basketball recruiting knows how big of a get it would be to land this pair of stud guards. Hopefully once we get the twins on campus we will be able to hold off Coach Cal and the Kentucky Wildcats.
