If you all didn’t know, Maryland has a pretty good softball team this year. They went 34-24 last year, and have now been picked to finish fifth in the ACC (albeit out of only eight teams). Their season starts in ten days (!) with the University of Georgia Tournament, but their first home game isn’t until March 9th.

Here’s the full poll, via the ACC’s official website:

2011 ACC Softball Predicted Order of Finish

6. NC State 21 28-27
7. Virginia Tech 15 25-33

In other news, we desperately need a softball writer. If you know a guy (or gal), you know where to find us.
