Good News on the Cierski Front

About a week ago, news came out that Tyler Cierski and Ryan Malleck were going to be visiting James Franklin and Vanderbilt in Nashville. Malleck reportedly decommitted from Maryland after the coaching changes, so that wasn’t an issue. BUT, Cierski is my top-ranked Maryland commit and all of the sudden he was listed as a “soft” verbal.

HOWEVAH:

Matt Bracken of the Sun reports Cierski visited College Park again this past weekend, and apparently was reminded of how awesome the campus is.

“We got up there Friday,” said Cierski, a 6-foot-1, 255-pound fullback from Mill Creek (Ga.). “I hadn’t been up here in awhile. It just reminded me how much I like it here. I don’t think taking other visits is necessary.”

Cierski also said he was concerned with the idea of Mike Leach as Maryland’s head coach – Leach doesn’t exactly have the propensity of utilizing fullbacks in his offense – but said he’s comfortable with Randy Edsall.
