In an incredibly busy day in Maryland sports, men’s basketball was able to secure an easy win at home against North Florida, defeating the Ospreys 85-62.
Jordan Williams recorded his seventh straight double-double, tying Joe Smith’s school record, but made only one of ten free throw attempts. The sophomore finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks.
Sean Mosley, Terrell Stoglin, Cliff Tucker, and Adrian Bowie also scored in double figures, and Mosley added a team-high six assists. Pe’Shon Howard started in place of Tucker for the second straight game, and finished with seven points, three assists, and three steals.
North Florida’s Parker Smith led all scorers with 21 points, and made five of nine shots from beyond the arc.
As someone who spent most all of his day at RFK, I don’t have much more to say beyond that. Maryland’s next game takes place next year, against Colgate, on January 4 at Comcast Center. After that, it’s really ACC season, as the Terps take a road trip to face Duke. Oh boy.
