According to Scout.com, 2011 tight end Ryan Malleck has decommitted from Maryland, opening up his recruiting. Brian Dohn of ScarletReport.com reports that among Malleck’s options are Rutgers, Vanderbilt, and UConn, although the Terps are still a possible destination. Malleck, from Point Pleasant, NJ., is rated a 3-star prospect by Scout, and is ranked as the 63rd best tight end in his class.

This kind of stuff is bound to happen with the coaching changes, and we’ll see how deep it goes. We’ll have a NJIT preview up soon (yes folks, it’s still basketball season).
