Men's Soccer Preview – 09/14/2010

After a 1-1 draw at #5 Boston College, the Terps continue their season up in Baltimore against the MAAC’s Loyola Greyhounds. The two in-state rivals played last year in the first round of the NCAA tournament, a game that Maryland won 3-2.

Last season, the Greyhounds went 11-8-3, including 6-1-2 in conference (good for second place behind Iona). Loyola loses leading scorer Jamie Darvill (ten goals, nine assists), but retains senior forward Phil Bannister (four goals, thirteen assists). In only two games played, Bannister leads all Greyhounds with 11 shots and is one of three Loyola players to have scored a goal.
