Open Thread - Women's Soccer 09/12/2010

The Terps stand at 6-0-0 this season and face off against 4-1-0 Delaware at College Park. We’ll have updates as the game goes on. The Terps have won the game, 4-1, to improve to 7-0-0.

UPDATE (8′) – GOAL Delaware. Stacie Dulkis puts one in.

UPDATE (29′) – Yellow Card – Olivia Wagner.

UPDATE (43′) – GOAL Terps. Colleen Deegan scores on a header in the 43rd minute to tie it up right before the half.

UPDATE (45′) – 1-1 at halftime.

UPDATE (52′) – GOAL Terps. Ayinde puts in a penalty kick after a Delaware foul in the 52nd minute. 2-1.

UPDATE (52′) – Shot from Ayinde less than a minute after her goal goes wide.

UPDATE (53′) – Back to back shots by Dulkis (Delaware) and Spencer (#Terps) are no good.

UPDATE (59′) – GOAL Terps! Sade Ayinde scores another off assists from O’Sullivan and Spencer. Fifth goal of the year. 3-1 Maryland.

UPDATE (62′) – Subs for Maryland – Grove in for Ayinde, Hastings in for Wagner, Hubka in for Spencer.

UPDATE (65′) – Hastings already makes an impact, takes a shot but it is blocked.

UPDATE (68′) – Three subs for Delaware, including taking out Dulkis, the goal scorer.

UPDATE (69′) – GOAL Terps.  Grove puts it in after a corner by McDowell. Baker gets an assist as well. 4-1.

UPDATE – And that’s final, 4-1 Terps. They’re now 7-0-0 on the year.

Player of the Game – Sade Ayinde. Scored two goals, including the game-winner, in less than a half of play.
