The Maryland women’s soccer team stayed undefeated after beating Seton Hall on the road yesterday by a final score of 3-2. In the 36th minute, Olivia Wagner scored her second goal of the season off a cross from Sade Ayinde, giving the Terps the lead. Ashley Grove scored early in the second half from a through ball by Caitlin McDowell, and it was 2-0 Maryland. Seton Hall was able to fire back, scoring two goals in the next twenty minutes to tie it up.
In the 81st minute, the Terps got a break as Jasmyne Spencer was taken down in the box and the penalty kick was called. Ayinde took the kick and fired it in, giving the Terps the eventual game-winning goal.
The Terps’ next game is at home when they face Delaware this Sunday.
Player of the Game – Ayinde. An assist and the game-winning goal? Easy.
