Terps Beat Stony Brook, 2-0

The Maryland women’s soccer team improved to 5-0 today, defeating the Stony Brook Seawolves at home by a score of 2-0. Substitutes Danielle Hubka and Sade Ayinde scored for the Terps, while Maryland’s defense held Stony Brook to only one shot throughout the course of the game. Ayinde’s goal came off a beautiful through ball from Jasmyne Spencer, while Hubka scored after passes from Ayinde and Olivia Wagner. Lydia Hastings had plenty of chances in a game where Maryland continually knocked on the Seawolves’ door, but was unable to put one in.

The Terps’ next game is Wednesday, September 8th, at Seton Hall.
