Women's Soccer Preview - 08/20/2010

Coach Brian Pensky

The Maryland women’s soccer team plays their first game of the regular season tomorrow, facing off against Iona University of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Gaels, picked fifth in this season’s MAAC preseason poll, finished third in the conference last year and have two players on this year’s preseason All-MAAC team, senior defender Diane Hare and sophomore midfielder Gabriella D’Aprile.

According to UMTerps.com, the projected lineup for the Terps has two changes from my projected lineup here, as Ashley Grove will start at forward alongside Jasmyne Spencer (as opposed to Sade Ayinde), and Amy O’Sullivan will start at midfield (instead of Danielle Hubka).

Terp Record: 0-0 (0-0)

Opponent: Iona (MAAC) 0-0 (0-0)

Location: College Park, MD

Time: 7:00 PM ET

Coverage: Ludwig Field, or GameTracker
